What is Ayurveda briefly explained
Ayurveda or Ayurweda "knowledge of life" is a traditional Indian healing art that still has many practitioners worldwide.
The oldest concepts of Indian medicine date back to the Vedic period, from around the middle of the 2nd century BC, primarily in the "Altarvaveda." From this, the distinct medical system of Ayurveda developed around 500 BC.
The therapeutic approach and difference to Western medicine is completely different: Western medicine focuses on treating the symptoms, while Ayurvedic medicine focuses on the holistic treatment of people suffering from the symptoms.
In other words, conventional medicine chooses the treatment based on the disorder, whereas Ayurvedic medicine chooses the treatment based on the specific situation and the characteristics of the patient: their physical, biological, psychological and pneumatic.
